Want a Rewarding Volunteer Opportunity? 
We are currently seeking a volunteer to be the meal coordinator for the Journey of Hope meetings on the second and fourth Tuesday and Thursday of each month.  The estimate for maximum hours required each month to perform the duties relating to this position are 4-5 hours. 
You are not required to attend the JOH grief meetings. 
Training is available!
 

The volunteer will be responsible for:

♥  Scheduling meal providers using an available database of past meal provider contacts and providing details of meal service to meal providers using prepared information/forms.  Contact of new and past providers can be made
via telephone and/or email.

♥  Recruiting new groups/organizations for meal provider service.

♥ Contacting meal providers via telephone 5 days before scheduled meal to
remind them of their commitment and make sure all details are covered.

♥  Coordinating meal volunteers to attend JOH meetings.  Depending on the size of the group serving dinner, usually 2-3 JOH meal volunteers are needed
to facilitate use of facility and mealtime procedures. 

♥  Understanding and ensuring that all meal volunteers are aware of and follow the requirements for use of the kitchen at First United Methodist Church Plano. 

♥  Making sure that the proper reporting of meal providers and volunteers is
made to JOH so that volunteer hours and information is captured.
