The
volunteer will be responsible for:
♥
Scheduling meal providers using an available database of past meal
provider contacts and providing details of meal service to meal
providers using prepared information/forms. Contact of new and past
providers can be made
via telephone and/or email.
♥
Recruiting new groups/organizations for meal provider service.
♥
Contacting meal providers via telephone 5 days before scheduled meal
to
remind them of their commitment and make sure all details are
covered.
♥
Coordinating meal volunteers to attend JOH meetings. Depending on
the size of the group serving dinner, usually 2-3 JOH meal
volunteers are needed
to facilitate use of facility and mealtime procedures.
♥
Understanding and ensuring that all meal volunteers are aware of and
follow the requirements for use of the kitchen at First United
Methodist Church Plano.
♥ Making
sure that the proper reporting of meal providers and volunteers is
made to JOH so that volunteer hours and information is captured.
